Work-in-Progress
-As of 26th of April 2021
It is to my unfortunate behalf that I must announce the lateness of the production of my script. As of the 26th evening of April, I managed to scrounge up the intro to my script The Mutual Fists. Although I cannot argue with the completion of this task, I must hurry if I am to complete the script before the 12th of May, the due date of the entire project.

However, I have considered cutting down the originally intended length of my script in order to make it in time. Previously, I set out to create a story that followed in an episodic pattern that ranged for approximatively 50 pages, which would, theoretically speaking, average around 50 minutes worth of screen time, if we consider the rule of one page per minute.
Now however, with the increased urgency, I have decided to rework the script from the ground up and focus on the plot's protagonist Jack, and antagonist Norman. Moreover, I will shorten the script and attempt to hit the 30 page mark, give or take a page or two. I sincerely believe that this setback will assist me in keeping a cool head and write something that I still feel will reflect on what I love about human morality, indecency and the thin line between them. Feel free to read this 8 page introduction.
Intro to The Mutual Fists (.txt format)

Having not yet completed the script, I have decided to focus on outlining the rest of it by sharing some of my design ideas and plans to finish the 25 page script.

First off, in terms of setting and imagery, I haven't been completely transparent on that front. My goal was to create an Alcatraz sort of prison and atmosphere. Alcatraz was known to be one of the most fearsome prisons that held dangerous criminals. The buildings themselves are ancient, predating the creation of the prison itself and it is obvious that it wasn't meant to be modern.

As for the plot itself, it is important for me to restate that my 25 page script is meant to be the pilot of an imaginary show called The Mutual Fists. Therefore, the first episode is meant to be an introduction to the prison, to the main protagonist Jack and to the main antagonist warden Norman.

On that note, I'd like to mention that on the first episode, there will be a supporting character by the name of Ba-ba who is Jack's jail mate. There will also be the main antagonist who challenges Jack, named Kugin.

My plan with Kugin is to establish him as the leader of a gang of prisoners who attempts to recruit Jack. When his offers are turned down, Kugin proceeds to berate and bully the main protagonist, resulting in a bloody theatrical fight which is meant to be the conclusion of the first episode and the reveal of Jack's backstory for how he landed in prison in the first place.

Kugin is meant to be a mirror image of warden Norman, a man with power who terrorizes others in their own self-righteous path to look and feel bigger than they truly are, who abuse and belittle others.
